I suppose it is part of the typical white guy stereotype for them to believe they aren’t part of the stereotype.
I wish I could say this wasn’t the case but damn

The Thing from Fantastic Four
Ben Grimm used to knit, back in the day. After he became The Thing, it got a lot harder -- which was a shame, because he really wanted to make decent socks that fit him well.
The day they came out with that superbulky yarn and the huge crochet hooks was the greatest day of his life. He’s made himself some extremely fashionable outerwear.
What is it with Weird Biology and shin clawing creatures? That seems like an oddly specific recurring theme.
statistical error- way more creatures on this planet are willing and eager to claw your shins than previously thought
karethdreams replied to your post: I need to talk about ‘The Shadow’ for a sec
It is so rare to find anyone who knows The Shadow, let alone appreciates the history and brilliant absurdity of the whole franchise. For most of my life my standard response to any comment along the lines of “Who knows?” would be “The Shadow knows” in maximum gravely dramatic voice, and I can’t tell you how often people’s response would be to look at me like I’d lost my mind (even more so than usual).
I SEE YOU FELLOW SHADOW FAN!!!
I’ve found maybe one other person who knows and appreciates The Shadow, and their focus is almost solely on the pulps. But this is one of the spiritual grandfathers of the superhero genre (and I believe I’ve heard through the grapevine at times that he does get homages in various Batman media) and he deserves more love, and especially the radio show which is so very much the epitome of late 1930s silly scifi melodrama.
And of course, Margo Lane and Lois Lane are cousins.

My cat keeps going in my sister’s room and...
My wife made one for our cats using twine and a heavy duty poster mailing tube. Used hot glue to attach the twine at the bottom, wrapped the tube tightly with the twine then glued it at the top, then glued it to a piece of scrap wood. It was cheep to make and easy to rewrap when the twine gets too shredded. We rubbed a but of catnip on it to get them to start using it.
I know (mostly) how to make one it’s just more I don’t wanna make it but it seems like I probably should because they’re really aren’t any cheap options
You radiate eldritch fae energy.
Oooh EXCELLENT Thank you.

Disney is doing an edgy live-action Nutcracker...
I saw someone suggest it must have started life as Alice 3 and it got morphed into Nutcracker after Alice 2 bombed. Even the “and the Four Realms” seems more fitting for an Alice movie than this one.
Turns out it’s the start of the Disney Cinematic Universe and is attached to the Alice in Wonderland movies

Epic crossover? Use all the fandoms
Oh god, no. No. There is nothing I want to write less than an epic MCU/Crimson Peak/Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries/Star Trek: Discovery/Power Rangers in Space crossover.
Nothing... less... although... hmm... *strokes chin* Wtf am I saying, NO.
