No. 6 Store
No. 6 Store in downtown Manhattan never ceases to delight and inspire. New York Magazine aptly summarizes the shop: In 2005, stylists Morgan Yakus and Karin Bereson quietly commandeered this 1,000-square-foot storefront at number six (blink-and-you-miss-it) Centre Market. The boutique capitalizes on Yakus’s exclusive secondhand sources acquired trading on London’s Portobello Road and Bereson’s sartorial skills gained while styling for glossies. Beyond their collective great taste and eye for the unusual, the duo know how to make an impact with their online lookbooks. I'm always chomping at the bit to see their latest wares, modeled the past several seasons by the beauty above. Can't wait to swing by when I'm back in New York next month.
Like me, I am always fascinated that we all have the same needs, wants and “holes” in our wardrobes.
Karin Bereson, stylist and shop owner of No. 6 in NYC
