Frontier(s) (2007):
This film is so intense I feel like I need a rest.
Seriously.
I had a fear from the beginning that this would be a Uwe Boll style shaky cam fest. Instead we are treated to the way something like this should be shot: the shakes and jumpcuts to ramp intensity to its zenith and straight shooting during regular scenes.
The scene in the tunnel is one for the books. You feel as trapped as they are, as he starts to panic, I could feel it myself.
Much credit has to be given in the restraint shown in the solicits for this film. If it has been announced to me as a version of a certain well known film it would have coloured my perceptions and possibly made me not even see this. (Yes I am keeping this totally spoiler free since this is a must see.)
Cryptic time: I thought Ash from Evil Dead was the most put-upon character in movie history.
That was until today.
