anti spuffies love to bring up buffybot as a gotcha, acting like we don't think the concept is weird because it was meant to be. spike was a soulless vampire trying to process emotions that a soulless vampire isn't supposed to have, but he goes about it in strange ways because he's SOULLESS and lacks the capacity to handle the contradiction of being soulless yet having genuine feelings.

it gets exhausting being a xander truther sometimes when people turn anya-centric episodes, like 'Triangle" and 'Hell's Bells," into "anya's better than me. i would've killed him," when the episode conflicts come from a consequence of her actions as a vengeance demon. xander leaving her at the aisle? that’s because a demon from her past came to seek vengeance for the curse she put on him, and he put visions in xander’s head that preyed on his fear of continuing the cycle of abuse in his family. people don't like xander, whatever, but not everything is about him, and i feel like not a lot of people give him grace like they do willow.

a pet peeve of mine with running a daily blog is when creators don't put the episode in the tags

Considering how I thought they’d put Buffy in a boring pantsuit, the red dress and heels are okay, but could be better. I wish they incorporated Buffy’s hairstyles into the outfit like this one instead of the straight hair, and that she was wearing boots rather than heels.

ignoring that i stand with xander 10 toes down, saying, “xander was a terrible friend” doesn’t make sense if you don’t also talk about willow. willow brought dawn, buffy’s sister, to what was essentially a crack den (and her addiction doesn’t negate that!), kicked buffy out of her house ALONG with xander, ganged up on buffy ALONG with xander in “dead man’s party”, put the world in jeopardy before xander talked her down, etc. most of the things xander did, willow was right beside him. xander and willow aren’t terrible friends to buffy, they do what they can in impossible situations, but because xander is a man, it’s more progressive to single him out. i’m not trying to say you have to like him, but i’m kind of sick of people speaking about him in the tags of my gifsets… that don’t even involve him.
