Tuesday December 22nd [ On the Solstice/ Happy Solstice everyone btw. 1st day of Winter yesterday, the convergence of Saturn & Jupiter forming the star of Bethlehem, such a great conjunction. Work in progress : i grabbed my #karststonepaper by #karst to see how ink glides stacks on it (that last bit was just a small blend/wipe test on the test page). For some reason memories of violently bright sunrises/sunsets and the word "undulating" and i threw back to a "melting wax" type doodle. The pencil works well, the paper almost automatically blends it, with presdure you can carve & dent the paper (which can be realky fun) The inks blend and stack well, they glide smoothly on the paper unless you're using a dip or glass pen (which will require a light hand). This paper does allow for seamless fills of color and smooth blends with a blending/smudging tool (for this i just used Q-tips). it's not quite done yet. Let's see where it goes.
