Lantern Festival 2015

HI guys! Hope you guys are having a great summer so far. Just a quick update on the PCESLO youtube channel! Before the end of Spring Quarter all of our performing groups performed at this year’s Lantern Festival. Check out their performances here!

Since the Phils has become much more modern, just like the songs, the dances have evolved as well. From folk dances to various other styles of dancing, the Philippines has ‘em all. Here is an example of a folk dance called Tinikling (performed by some of my friends from Kasayahan, formerly called The Philippine Cultural Centre Foundation, a few years ago. I used to dance this as well.)

The tinikling is a pre-Spanish dance from the Philippines that involves two people (or more) beating, tapping, and sliding bamboo poles on the ground and against each other in coordination with one or more dancers who step over and in between the poles in a dance. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinikling) They also may be crossed, as shown in the video.

Ang busy ng araw ko, hihi. Ang saya lang. :">

Mula kahapon hanggang kaninang umaga nanuod ako ng Playful Kiss, wala kasing MGIAG yung hiniraman ko pero ok lng. :) Tapus nanuod kami ng Crazy Little Thing Called Love, aaaayyyy! HAHAHA! Isa sa mga movie na sobrang ganda as in sobra, sobrang sobra maski walang kissing scene sila nakakakilig padin. :"> Masaya lang.
