RANT: THE AO3 AI GENERATED FICS FOR THE TOP 100

Not something I would usually post here on this blog but here we go!

It has been revealed that one of the ships got it onto the top 100 ships on AO3 by someone utilizing ai generated fics to spam the tag.

It's honestly disheartening that people (usually my age) view AO3 as a fucking social media app rather than an archive where hundreds if not thousands of user dedicate their writing to something they genuinely love.

Polluting the website with ai generated fanfics that no one will read nor was written by anyone is truly a new low and for what??? A ship??? Are we DEADASS??? You only care about the fuckass numbers that shouldn't mean THAT much to you, it's honestly pathetic and sad.

Seriously I get you for loving a ship so much but are we really going to dickride the living shit out of a phony ass bot to make u a gazillion amount of fanfics just for some ranking. It's actually frying me omfg what the fuck.

Thanks for reading my rant I suppose, normally I would be a lot vulgar when it comes to my rants but I'm just honestly heartbroken that someone did this

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that absolutely nothing justifies what the US has done, is doing, and will do in Iran, and as always there's going to be an immense amount of fabricated nonsense to retroactively excuse unforgivable war crimes and atrocities committed by the US government.

You should not support the troops, who freely volunteered to do exactly this type of thing. You should not excuse the callous slaughter of innocent civilians because you dislike their government. And you should not buy into any narratives painting this as anything but a violent reprisal for the 1979 revolution that overthrew a US-backed puppet regime.

This is not bad because it's "bad for the American economy," or "putting American lives at risk," or "bypassing the legal process for starting war." This is bad because it's subjecting the Iranian people to unfathomable cruelty and bloodshed and violence for no reason other than that the US thinks it has the absolute mandate to force its will upon the entire world and rain down hell from the skies when it doesn't get its way. It's bad because Iranian children are being killed in air strikes on their schools and Iranian people in general are going to starve and freeze and die of preventable diseases.

Nothing can justify this atrocity. Nothing can convince me that Iran poses an offensive threat to the United States, beyond challenging its regional authority in a place it has no business in. Nothing can convince me it's possible to murder children for their own good.

Will forever hate the fact that some lads players will always ruin the fun for raf girlies. Their dynamic is based on equality, there are no roles for them and that is their charm. Raf carried mc and then it is shown mc carried Raf too. That type of relationship is adorable and admirable. Don’t y’all think that being put off about mc showing her strength and Raf showing vulnerability is rooted in a place where toxic masculinity is still prevalent? Idk, it’s just getting annoying now. People being mad that Pomni’s torture section was just with gummy goo. As if Pomni’s life wasn’t just very generic and unfulfilling, compared to the rest of the cast, who has had some form of trauma with their identities or experiences.

Gummy goo wasn’t for the fans, or just to torture Pomni with her (NOT CANNON) ‘love interest’. He was the first and only character who she could relate to, who was in a very similar boat to her, and Caine, to some degree, KNEW she cared about him, yet he ‘killed’ him, and basically lobotomized him for the next adventure.

Pomni’s torture, to my understanding, was more of Caine going: “You like this guy, right? You had a bonding moment with him? Well, what if he hated you? What if I stripped him down into just a bicoloured MONSTER that you couldn’t relate to? What if you couldn’t have closure?”

That gator was real to HER! And dumbing him down to just a “fan service” moment, or saying that Pomni’s torture wasn’t that bad is missing the fucking point of WHY Caine did that to her.

Her job wasn’t significant to her. Her hobby wasn’t significant to her. GUMMYGOO was significant to her.
