I always had this headcanon that Kaz has, like 1000 pet names he uses for Chase, without warning, and normally Chase just rolls his eyes and moves on with life but sometimes Kaz uses extra sweet and/or mushy names (like, my love, darling, sweetheart, ect.) and Chase needs to process it for a minute because he's SO USE to being mocked that whenever Kaz compliments him by using nicknames he gets flustered, and idk what are your thoughts on this?

Chase getting complimented always strokes his ego bc esteem issues, but when Kaz does it he just. Chase.exe has stopped working.

Because even when it just a passing, „Hey, babe“ Kaz always says it so....honestly. Like it’s the most obvious truth in the universe. „Of course I call Chase sweetheart, why wouldn’t I???“

And so when Kaz really puts effort into the nicknames, making them as mushy gushy lovey dovey as he possibly can, Chase just straight up dies like a lovesick anime girl. Which of course just makes Kaz do it more.

i'm having a burst of lref feelings. what do you think a day at the beach would be like for brylar? how about kaz/chase?

Skylar and Bree would have the exact kind of romantic day at the beach thou would expect. Walking along the shore holding hands, giggling and talking about anything and everything, having a fun romp in the water where Skylar lifts Bree effortlessly above her head and yeets her into an oncoming wave like the ragdoll she is and Bree comes up sputtering indignantly bc that should not be as hot as it is. (Bree would Absolutely be the embodiment of "she's so hot I would thank her for murdering me" and you can't change my mind)

Meanwhile, Kaz would be watching all this from a distance and sighing dramatically, repeatedly, but his boyfriend just will not catch a clue bc

TIDE POOLS

"The ecosystems are fascinating, Kaz, look at this!"

And Kaz looks and really tries to be irritated bc "This isn't romantic Chase" but it's really hard when Chase keeps handing him crabs he finds in the surrounding rocks between pools bc crabs ARE cool, even if tide pools aren't, and Kaz decides this is a fair trade, especially since Chase beams like the sun everytime he catches one, and when they stumble upon a particularly interesting pool for reasons Kaz doesn't understand, he can't help but pull Chase into a kiss. He decides this is better than long walks in the beach.

I know a lot of the Kase Beginnings hcs are “they figure it out together in secret” sorta thing, but I have another proposition:

Kaz approaches Bree, after multiple failed attempts of flirting with Chase, to ask how best to get her brother’s attention.

Alternatively, Bree approaching Kaz after seeing the multiple failed attempts of flirting with Chase, and going, “You’re going about this all wrong and it’s honestly painful to watch, here’s some notes.”

However it starts, just. Bree helping Kaz get together with Chase. Giving him suggestions on date ideas. Presents. Jokes Chase will get/appreciate. Super lame science pick up jokes she’s sure will get her brother’s attention. Expanding the Kaz/Bree Friendship and showing that Bree actually does know a lot about her brother’s interests, even though she pretends not to.

And when they do get together, she takes a sneaky selfie in front of them kissing, pointing and sporting a proud smirk, with the caption, “I made this.” and sends to Adam and Leo.

Chase doesn’t figure out any of her involvement until years later. He just thought Kaz was that awesome.

Kase happens entirely by accident, they’re just friends chillin’ and stuff, havin’ fun, until one night they’re out on the terrace when it starts snowing and Chase is just like “whoa” and Kaz laughs like “what, you’ve never seen snow before?” and Chase says “only in the Antarctic when I was caught in an avalanche, but a soft snow like this? Never.”

And Kaz is like wow okay, this needs to be rectified bc snow is awesome, so he grabs Chase and flies them up to the very top of Davenport Tower so they can really get a view and at first he just laughs to himself when he looks at Chase’s utter amazement and innocent wonder at these frozen flakes drifting down, but then watching Chase watch the snow he realizes “oh shit, he’s cute and I’m a little bit in love” and he ends up staring hard at the view himself and hoping Chase just figures his red cheeks are from the cold (if he ends up looking, not looking at him at all would be better).

He spends the rest of the week in inner panic and turmoil before he gets his swagger back and starts focusing on how to woo the freaky little genius who’s completely oblivious both to Kaz’s interest and his own feelings.

I have slowly come to realize two things lately.

1) I ship Kaz and Chase. I don’t know why, I don’t know how, I don’t know when, but whenever I’m daydreaming I see a lot of confidently bi Kaz and still-figuring-shit-out-and-coming-to-terms-with-it ace Chase and it’s just a lot of soft fluff and cheek kisses and flying up to a tall building to watch the first snowfall because it never snowed in Mission Creek (at least in the two years they were allowed outside) and the avalanche mission was Too Much Snow and Deadly, so technically Chase has never seen an honest to goodness soft, calm, everything-is-so-quiet snow before.

2) Oliver comes very very close to killing Chase during his downward spiral, urged on by his mother, and the only reason he doesn’t is because Chase either miraculously survives his injury or is saved last moment by Kaz (or a bit of both) who is starting to realize his best friend may not actually exist anymore because Oliver would never take a life.
