The pyrokenetic knocked on the glass to his teammates charging tube, (as Kaz liked to call it,) trying to wake up the girl inside.
The alien's eyes slowly opened and she gave Kaz a tired brow raise, silenyly questioning why he woke her up.
Again, it was early. Kaz had only just woken up. He probably wasn't thinking or remembering things properly just yet, but he found that gesture extremely odd.
If someone woke Skylar up, she would normally glare at them, demanding, "what?" and looking two centemeters away from murder. She would not calmly stare at them, only looking mildly annoyed, waiting for them to explain.
"What are you doing here?" Kaz asked, opening the capsule door so she could hear him.
Skylar blinked, groggily, "what do you-?"
Immeadiately, her eyes shot wide open. She cleared her throat, coughing dryly. She tried again, but this time she didn't get further then "what" before she stopped talking.
"Um... Skylar?" Kaz truely had no clue why his friend was acting so panicked, especiolly when nothing had happened.
"Skylar?!" the girl ran out of the capesule, pushing past Kaz to get to the boys bathroom.
"Yeah, that's your name, right?"
Skylar looked in the bathroom mirror, letting out a loud yelp. "What the heck?!"
Before Kaz could respond, the bundle of blankets on Oliver's bed stirred. Only, it wasn't Oliver inside the blankets, it was Chase.
"Okay, this is getting weird," Kaz said, "did you guys switch up the sleeping arrangements without telling me?"
Skylar stared at the bionic boy in shock, apparently at a loss for words and Chase gave Kaz the same expression. Kaz was just confused.
"Alright," Chase said, laying his head back down into the pillow, "I'm going to go back to sleep so that I can wake up from this weird-ass dream."
Kaz shook his head, "guys, what's going on?"
Skylar marched over to Kaz, pointing a finger at his chest, "is this a prank?" she took both his shoulders, shaking him, "Oliver, tell me this is a prank!"
Kaz blanched, "but I'm not Oliver."
On the bed, Chase seemed to be having some sort of existencial crisis, as he stared up at the ceiling. "Is this a sign? Am I some sort of prophet? Are my dreams trying to tell me to self-reflct? Who am I?"
Skylar grabbed Kaz's wrist and dragged him over to the bathroom mirror. She then crossed her arms, waiting for a reaction.
Kaz blinked a couple times just to make sure he was seeing correctly. Oddly enough, he was. He staired at himself, although he wasn't sure if it was himself.
Since when did Kaz have light brown hair and blue eyes? Since when was he this much taller then Skylar? Since when did he look exactly like his best friend?
Kaz looked at Skylar- was that even Skylar?- then back at himself. He screamed. But it wasn't his scream, it was Oliver's high-pitched scream. That only made him scream more.
"Shut up!" whoever looked like Chase yelled, "shut up! I'm trying to go to sleep so I can wake up!"
Skylar-in-question marched to the center of the boys room, waving her arms out in front of her. "Quiet! Both of you!" Once she had both the boy's attention, she continued "who are you guys?!"
Kaz scratched the back of his head, "Kaz. I think. I don't know anymore!"
Most-likely-not-Chase sat up, still having an existential crisis, but pushing through it, "I can vouch for that, because he definitely isn't me!"
"Oliver?" Kaz's eyes lit up with emotion, knowing that his friend was still alive and not some mystical spirit that entrusted Kaz with it's form, "is that you?"
"Yeah? Why? Who do I look like?" Oliver stood up as to walk to the mirror, only to pause once he was standing. "Why am I so short?"
"Oh, shut up, not all of us can be giants like you!" Slylar huffed. Only, now Kaz knew it wasn't Skylar, it was-
"Chase!"
"No dip, Sherlock!"
