I can't with Pakistanis calling themselves victims like Palestinians. If only they read about their history, rather than skipping a huge part of it, as if their atrocities would disappear by doing that!
The Pakistani military genocided their low-caste Muslims residing in East Pakistan, starved them, beat them, and diseased them. They raped MANY women and hid them near the mosques and other shady places. When the Indian military visited the place, they were shocked to see all that and tried to save the East Pakistanis. India took in the refugees, despite being already overpopulated. They helped in the formation of Bangladesh.
Let's put aside (just for now) the fact that now Bangladeshis have forgotten about the atrocities their ancestors faced and falsely blame India just to support their Muslim brothers in Pakistan. They have killed the Hindus in their country. They hacked the children's phones for any groups and shot them dead. They still destroy temples and cut off the gods and goddesses' heads.
Pakistan did a similar thing to the Kashmiri Pandits and stole their lands, not once, but for so many years. They killed them or forced them out of their homes. I still wonder how Pakistan dares to claim that the land belonged to them because it was ruled by an Islamic ruler for quite some time and the majority of the civilians are Muslims, when the lands were STOLEN from Hindu Pandits and the people were forced to convert to Islam and if they did not do so, they were killed. What is so proud about a country that is a settler colonizer?
Balochistan has been a mineral-rich land for years. Ancient metal ornaments have been found in the area. Pakistan took Balochistan but did not give them their rights and freedom. They STOLE all their resources from the land in the name of the nation and starved them. I've seen so many Balochis complain about how they've been wronged. Now, Pakistanis claim that Balochistan was always a poor piece of land and never had scope for development, when this was not the case in the past.
NCERT Omits Tipu Sultan, Anglo–Mysore Wars From Class 8 Social Science Textbook
NCERT’s newly released Class 8 Social Science textbook, in the news for highlighting the “brutality” of Mughals, also excludes Tipu Sultan, Haider Ali, and the four Anglo–Mysore Wars from its chapter on colonial rule.
While the book, Exploring Society: India and Beyond (Part 1), traces early European arrival—from Vasco da Gama to the Battle of Plassey—and highlights economic exploitation, the 1857 Rebellion, and cultural looting, the Mysore resistance is notably absent.
Instead, NCERT includes uprisings such as the Sannyasi–Fakir rebellion, Kol and Santhal insurrections, and the Anglo–Maratha Wars. It even asserts that “the British took India from the Marathas more than from the Mughals or any other power”.
Explaining the change, Michel Danino, chair of the textbook development committee, emphasised that the book serves as an overview and not a comprehensive history. He noted that including every war would revert to a “cramming” style filled with dates and battles—and confirmed that Tipu Sultan and the Anglo–Mysore Wars won’t likely feature in Part 2 either, India Today reported.
The revised edition also brings fresh perspectives: it spotlights the economic “drain” on India, estimating a loss of $45 trillion (modern value) from 1765 to 1938, debunks the notion that railways and telegraphs were British benevolence—revealing they were funded by Indian taxes—and highlights widespread cultural theft from colonial powers.
However, critics argue the exclusions downplay significant chapters of India’s resistance. Tipu Sultan, known as the “Tiger of Mysore” who led four major wars between 1767 and 1799 with innovations like iron cased rockets, is a key figure lost in this narrative, the Indian Express reported.
The textbook had also raised eyebrows for depicting Babur as a “brutal and ruthless conqueror who slaughtered entire populations of cities”, Akbar’s reign as a “blend of brutality and tolerance”, and Aurangzeb as one who demolished temples and gurdwaras.
NCERT explained the inclusion of these descriptions in a “Note on Some Darker Periods in History”, with one chapter including a cautionary statement that “no one should be held responsible today for events of the past”.
NCERT has been bringing out new school textbooks in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2023.
In a high-level warning flagged by intelligence agencies, CNN-News18 has learnt that the extension of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)—especially through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) into Afghanistan—is emerging as a significant national security threat for India. The warning comes after China, Pakistan, and the Taliban-led Afghan government formally announced plans to expand CPEC into Afghanistan, following a trilateral meeting in Beijing between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Pakistan’s Ishaq Dar, and Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi.
Sources say that terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and ISIS-Khorasan (ISIS-K) are expected to take advantage of new locations created under this expansion. Roads, railways, and logistics hubs planned as part of CPEC’s Afghan integration may be used to smuggle weapons, funds, and militants into India, particularly Jammu and Kashmir.
Afghanistan’s inclusion comes at a time when the Taliban government condemned the Pahalgam terror attack and rejected Pakistan’s claim that India had launched missile strikes on Afghan territory.
Officials are deeply concerned that the Taliban’s control in Afghanistan, combined with their links to Pakistan-based groups, could allow JeM and LeT to operate more freely from Afghan territory—using BRI projects as a façade. This logistical cover could severely undermine India’s counter-terror capabilities.
While China’s stated goal in BRI is economic expansion, there is a strong possibility that Beijing may eventually tolerate the presence and activities of anti-India groups like JeM and LeT in these regions. This tacit allowance could embolden such groups and enable attacks on Indian soil.
Another red flag is Pakistan’s growing influence in Afghanistan through CPEC. This, sources say, may widen intelligence-sharing gaps and enable the Taliban to overlook anti-India militant activities. Intelligence officials have also noted that Kandhari factions within the Taliban are particularly sympathetic to jihadi ideologies. Their involvement in BRI-linked zones could allow militant groups to embed themselves under the guise of economic development—turning these areas into recruitment and planning hubs.
The increased traffic and connectivity along new CPEC routes could further provide ISIS-K with a corridor to launch attacks on Indian assets and infrastructure in the region. This would heighten regional instability and directly impact Indian security interests.
BRI projects typically prioritise Chinese labour and technology while sidelining local populations. This discontent will be used by ISIS-K to fuel anti-India rhetoric, recruit militants, and increase regional instability.
Similar to how Baloch insurgents have targeted CPEC projects in Pakistan, the infrastructure in Afghanistan is expected to face sabotage as well. This instability could create further openings for ISIS-K to destabilise the region and infiltrate India.

We never celebrated their deaths. We celebrated the death of a UN-known terrorist who hijacked an Indian plane and who was given shelter in Pakistan. How is it that Pakistanis made memes and sexual comments about the widowed wives, joking that they would make them covert and make them their wives if they could get hold of them, and the Pak embassy ordered a cake after the Pahalgam attack when the entire nation was mourning? And then you highlight the death of the child, who I still wonder what was doing near a terrorist's residing area, asking international Palestine supporters to defend you all. This issue and that issue are different. What you are doing is hypocritical!
Every time during terrorist attacks, over 200 civilians, army officials, public property, etc are damaged. During the Pahalgam attack, women became widows or lost their fathers, sons, brothers, etc. A woman who went to Pahalgam for her honeymoon lost her husband. My mother's friend's college friend died.

"Where is the proof that Pakistan harbors terrorism?" Well, dig up your past first.
