Little rant about how Israel is profiting off of Mexico

Many people don’t realize to what extent Israel is slowly expanding to other countries. Expanding either in the form of settler colonialism or in investments. 

A few years ago, I was in Mexico, specifically in the Yucatan peninsula, which in case you aren't aware, Cancun and other tourist cities are in this area. Currently and for the past 10 years, these areas have been having major housing developments, aimed primarily at foreigners looking for a new place to live or seasonal vacation properties. As I was saying, I was in that section of Mexico and I was conversing with someone I met at an outing, whose family was involved with selling land and contacting housing development companies to build. This person I was talking to mentioned how the main investors of these projects were from Israel and they often invited other people from Israel to buy properties once the projects were done. Mind you that many of these projects destroy and disrupt the wildlife of the area, exploit Mexican labor, and lead to gentrification for Mexicans, but mainly for the indigenous people who reside in this area. The money from these housing developments is not going back to the Mexican people, it is going back to foreigners. Additionally, in recent years, people from Israel have been moving to Yucatan and other parts of Mexico in staggering numbers, which will most probably continue to negatively impact the lives of the Mexican people. 

I haven't seen many people talk about this aspect of Israel's influence and impact in Mexico, so I wanted to warn people cause Israel is slowly expanding and profiting from exploiting Mexican labor and land.

Fuck Israel, fuck settler colonialism, and free Palestine.
