hey mieau, I was wondering: how do you test your charms and stickers for colors when they get printed? I'm interested in printing stickers of my own but I have no idea how to properly do these color thingies, and I even followed a few tutorials but even then it turned out rather crappy... can you perhaps make a step-by-step tut, even if it's only written? I'd be so grateful. ;M;
Uhmm, I’m not sure I completely understands your question. If what i’ll be answering is not what you were searching for, feel free to ask again lol; I’m really not an expert on it as well, so no step-by-step…
The general idea is any color that is too saturated won’t print. It will come out as dulled, gray-ish… Converting your work in CMYK will usually give you the idea on what your work will look like when printed. Though, some companies work with custom CMYK profiles, that allows to print more vibrant colors than the regular CMYK profile. You’ll usually find out when putting your work on their templates.
I would advise asking for samples to get an idea of what a printing company can do, or even asking them! That’s the safest way. Or just do a yolo print run.
