The alliance with Death was a necessary evil that Milo hoped to be rid of as soon as possible. If it was his choice, he’d rather go back to the truce where he could network between each group for his or Pestilence’s benefit. Though a little chaos has proven to be beneficial, helping him move up in the wake of destruction. This attack Uriel devised seemed pointless to Milo. It was obvious that it was more an initiation move to see if Pest would actually follow along with the alliance. Unfortunately, Milo was in no position to say no and was strategically placed with the other members in the shadows.
Gunshots rang out into the night air and he moved toward the location on the riverbank he was given, grabbing his target. An old acquaintance as it was. His left arm wrapped around her neck from behind and his right looped in her arm to brace her away from escaping. “Nice to see you again, Kash.” He hummed low into her ear. “You going to make this easy on me?” Milo knew it was unlikely, still he increased the pressure of his arm to slow her breathing. He wasn’t clear if the order was to kill or just maim. Knowing Death, it was the former but without the explicit instruction he took it for interpretation and figured if he at least left her unconscious it would be satisfactory. The quickest way to do that was blunt force or slow her oxygen supply. He chose the latter, though he wished he could have used a chemical attack instead. His eyes left her for a brief moment to check the status of their surroundings. The exposed environment had him mildly nervous of who could be watching them. Witnesses were an extra burden Milo did not need right now.
