What exactly IS a tiefling? I've gotten the impression that they're some type of demon or imp, or are they a type of fairy or elf, or are they just humanoids with horns?

Speaking of bloodlines, you wouldn't happen to have an idea where yours goes back to, would you? Recent or generationally lost?
Zeal, why do you wear the mask? Also, how much of your hat do your horns take up? And why don't you try to hide your tail?
If the traits of a planetouched affect all descendants after manifestation, and the offspring is the resulting race regardless of what their other parent is, what would happen if a tiefling and an aasimar had a child?
A tiefling whom is a Celestial Warlock? Do you not feel that is somewhat contradictory, Videl? Are not the Celestial powers implacable, intrinsic foes of your ancestors?
Rock, Paper, or Scissors?
(Fixed a typo)
For Videl: A School Teacher is it? Any favorite subjects to teach? 83
So are you in a session? Do these character belong to a campaign orrr???
I’m going to assume this is a question directly to me and not an ask blog one.
Also anyone reading from the Dial campaign, don’t go further.
Videl- Was in a homebrew campaign DM’d by a friend. Unfortunately like with many campaigns, the game died for various reasons. The version you see here is a ‘before the game’ version, since it felt oddly… weird? to use a ‘post game’ or ‘during game’ version of him. ‘Post game’ because I didn’t know where things were going or how he’d handle things/it’d all ultimately wrap up, ‘during game’ because he was having a hard time coping with the events of the game (there was time travel involved and he learned that basically everyone he ever knew prooobaaably died terribly). Here’s a story about how he almost destroyed the game via the power of responsibility, though.
Zeal- Hasn’t been played yet- I want to, and my group has been kicking around campaign ideas, but he’s not a good ‘fit’ for most of them. He’s intended for a more standard 5e Faerun setting and there needs to be a certain type of ‘base’ group dynamic. I don’t want to shoehorn him somewhere he won’t fit just because I want the opportunity to use him. So for now, he’s on the shelf and I’ve just developed his backstory tons instead, trying for that sweet spot of ‘solid but not going to back a future DM into a corner’ territory.
Reed- an NPC in a homebrew campaign I’m doing! It’s online and text based (Discord) so it’s rather slow going. So they haven’t met him yet, and for all I know they might hate him and try to kill him. Who knows! Life is a mystery.
