Upcoming Library Conferences & Meetings
Happy first day of school everybody!
Before you get too caught up with reading and class assignments, click the 'read more' link below and check out some upcoming library and information science related conferences. Attending a conference is a great way to network with other information science professionals and to explore other niches by taking part in panels, poster sessions, etc. I've included a broad range of conferences, some may be far away, but some offer an option for virtual attendance!
For a more definitive list, check out the Library Conference Planner at this link: http://lcp.douglashasty.com/
It's kickasssportslegends' first birthday today!

CYCLING SPECIAL: Laurent Jalabert (FRA) aka Jaja. Affectionately known as "Jaja" (slang for a glass of wine; when he continued drinking wine as a professional, the nickname stuck because of the similarity to his name), he won many one-day and stage races and was ranked number 1 in the 1990s. Although he never won the Tour de France, where he suffered altitude sickness, he won the Vuelta a España in 1995; as well as the leader's jersey, he won the sprinter's jersey and climber's jersey all in the same race — only the third rider to have done this in a Grand Tour. Not bad for a wino, Jaja.
Yordan Letchkov (BUL). Not baaaad.
