Wendell and Wild — Family!AU (Part II)
Aight we're back at it again.
Let's see.
The moment Wendell and Wild break into the house, Kat's waken up by them.
Which causes her to cry as soon as she sees them and they're both panicking.
As for her parents, they slowly wake up at her cries, and it's normal... Until Wild comes barging into their room like crazy.
"WHAT THE FUCK—"
"BROTHER THE TINY CREATURE IS CRYING WHAT DO WE DO"
"IT'S THREE IN THE MORNING FOR THE LOVE OF—"
Yeah, an unexpected surprise, considering they haven't seen their now human brother in a year and a half.
Chaos ensued, with the three brothers arguing while Kat is being comforted by her mother.
Of course, the pair of parents find out that Belzer doesn't know that they're here. That they miss their brother, that they want to see him often. Just like before.
Their brother can't just deny them after that. Also, he just can't deal with the puppy eyes.
So, yeah. Slowly but surely, Kat's introduced to them.
It started with supervision from both parents. It took a while for Wild and Wendell to adjust to a human children and the necessities of one. But still, even if it was difficult for them, they kinda managed to deal with it.
Kat just lives playing with their tails, the brothers pretending to not notice, but moving their tails around gently while she tries to catch them.
Wild's tummy easily became her favourite napping spot. Wendell and her parents take pictures every single time.
Wendell gave her a cursed/possessed teddy bear, and of course, that toy being Bearzebub. Kat cried a bit at first because, of course, it was a scary toy, but eventually warmed up to it.
The more Belzer rejected the idea of Dream Fair, the more the brothers came to visit. Maybe vent a little to their brother, who saw both points of view: For their father, change was a big and firm "No". He was old, and change wasn't exactly something good in his eyes. His brothers? They wanted to make things better.
And the more Kat grew, the more interested she became in this "Dream Fair". By the age of two, she shyly gave the demon brothers ideas for it.
And oh boy did they love it.
"A-And there wound be so many shiny lights! And roller-coasters so high that you could see the city from up hi— Uncle Wild, are you ok? You're crying!"
"Oh, I'm wonderful. Just... I'm so proud of you, you little calamity."
But, of course, good things never last.
Let's imagine that the thing coming out of Kat's apple isn't Wendell and Wild. In fact, it wasn't even intentional, just a common demon doing their work.
Wendell and Wild don't truly believe brother and sister-in-law are dead until their souls are nowhere to be found. And by the time they find out, they're already trapped.
They worry. They didn't say anything to Belzer, they don't even plan on doing so, but what will happen to the kid? Where is she? Will she be OK?
It wasn't until years later that she wasn't, if fact, any type of "ok".
