Kill Your Darlings
i started working on this way before season three so like, either steve’s good at foreshadowing or i’m psychic
Klaus is in the bath.
Nothing's quite responding yet, it'll take a few minutes, but Dave's petting along his collarbone, and that's nice. Dave's nose in his hair, legs on either side of his hips. This is why they got a place with a big tub.
i see sweet salvador has summoned me for six-ish sentence sunday so please subsume this snippet
"Klaus, I don't even care." Dave reaches up and pets Klaus's hair out of his forehead. "That thing I said about as long as it doesn't kill us? I'm not actually sure that would stop me. I'd really have to think about it."
"You're not allowed to die from fucking me, Dave, we're not french."
"Mm. One petit mort coming up."
"More than one, if you play your cards right."
ooh hello @salvador-daley we’re doing wip wednesday!! and if @klave-fucktober wants snips, snips they shall have :3
"So," Klaus says, "I'm, y’know. Weird."
"Yeah, you enjoy the canned spaghetti, I'm aware."
Klaus ruffles Dave's curls, and Dave ducks down into a kiss. Slow and lazy, not leading anywhere other than back around to itself.
"I like that you're weird," Dave says against Klaus's lips. "My own personal x-man."
"Sex-man. Is that anything?"
"Haven't read that one.”
"File it away for the autobiography."
Dave kisses Klaus again. It's wetter this time.
"Just so you understand," Dave says once they break apart, nuzzling into Klaus's hair. "I like that you're weird."
i see my sweet @spookyfbi has tagged me for [checks notes] uh, eight sentence thursday. pls have this from my vampire fic bc i know i havent updated it since the first chapter back in february but 13k of it exists i swear under oath in bad at finishing things court
Klaus lights up for the millionth time that evening. He burns through his own ration of cigarettes in about a night on the outside. Lucky him, Dave's trying to cut back. "'Sides," he says, the coal bobbing with the movement of his lips before he plucks his cigarette back out of his mouth, “I have impeccable control.”
“I thought,” Dave says, and Klaus peeks at him out of the corner of his eye, which distracts Dave enough that he has to start over. “I thought it was chemical, for newborns. I thought you couldn’t help it.”
“There are plenty of chemical urges I’m more than happy to give in to, sunshine,” Klaus says, looking right at Dave as he says it, “but that wasn’t one of them.”
@anglophile-rin tagged me again, i see how it is :3
"You'll like her," Klaus says. "I know you will. I have a sixth sense for this."
"For what,” Dave says, “introducing people?"
"Organizing threesomes."
"Wouldn't that be your seventh sense? You have the sixth one already."
"I'm hotter than Bruce Willis, though."
"He's not the one who - why do I know more about your decade than you do?"
@goldieknocks complete the brain chain
the resplendent @knifecatklaus has tagged me for six sentence sunday, so here, from a thing ive been working on since [mumbles]
“Do you have a name?”
"Not one that you can pronounce."
“Try me.”
The demon shrugs, and makes the sound of the last hourglass shattering into a beach of sand washed featureless by the crawling tides of time immortal.
“That middle part,” Dave says. “That sort of sounded like - Klaus?”
may I ask,,, for a line from a wip in these trying times??
whenever Im on A03 I end up on your account ily
MY SWEET LOVE U MAY INDEED
Luther sits down in the chair on the other side of the table, a cocktail glass in each hand. He passes one to Klaus. "Hi, Ben," he says. "I would've gotten you something, but you were already - where'd it go?"
"I'm sure I have no idea," Klaus says.
Ben puts his forehead back against the wall. "Go away."
"Nope," Klaus says. "You're due for a system purge in, oh, an hour, I'd say? And you can either do it here, in a bathroom made sticky by decades of poorly-aimed streams, or you can do it in a suite at the Hotel Obsidian Three-Point-Oh, where the only thing between your knees and the floor will be a tasteful bath mat and perhaps the odd stray pube."
"It could be worse," Luther says. "I used to be a lot hairier."
