The Secret Keeper- Kate Coombs

This children's book is absolutely beautiful. I was at my grandma's, and, naturally, I started sorting through the books on her reading table. This one caught my attention. Read it. It's the story of a girl who keeps all the secrets for her village. She's quiet, soft spoken, and loves the people, despite hearing of their darkest secret thoughts. She loves them, even if they're afraid of her, and won't talk to her unless they need to leave her with another secret, alone. This is her story, rendered beautifully. Seriously, guys. It's worth reading this kids book. It's just lovely.

I want one of those sarcastic yet sweet fairytale books like Once Upon a Marigold or The Runaway Princess, but with awesome character develpment
