“Let's try and get through today with nothing going wrong,” Kate thinks to herself at breakfast
She washes her plate and breaks the sink.
Luckily, she’s pretty handy and fixes it quickly.
“At least I can do that right” she wonders as she walks away

Kate wakes up, far from home, forgetting where she is..
She breathes out, but the anxiety creeps in.
At least it’s only Sunday, and classes don’t start until tomorrow.
“Well, don’t look too heavily into my brain, all you’ll find is different recipes and weird ingredients” Reyna replies
Kate smiles and nods, and then feels a wave of anxiety rushing over her.
“WELL, I gotta run, it was great meeting you!!” Kate hurriedly says before running off to her room.
Kate sees that her roommate must have come in during the night.
A guy.
She really didn’t want a male roommate.
Kate couldn’t remember how long it had been since she rode a bike. Maybe she was 8.. or 9.. but she knew she had blocked the last memory of it out of her mind.
She felt the anxiety building up in her again, but when she felt the wind, the people, the buildings and the trees rushing past her, so too did her anxious thoughts.
Everything around became a blur, and all she could see was the path in front of her.
Kate checks out her new dorm room, it’s pretty bare except for the essentials.
She heads down to the kiosk to pick up a few things, including a bike so she can get around the huge Britechester campus.
Instead of checking out the gathering of people, who look like their having a great time, Kate decides to go for a sunset ride around campus.
Kate and Dakota decide to hit up the local pub, The Bear and Badger for a wine and chat.
They talk about life, the good and bad, past loves, hopes and dreams for the future.
“Where do you see yourself after you finish uni?” Kate asks..
“Gosh, I really don’t know.. I just.. I don’t want to end up back in a small town again, you know?” Dakota begins cheerfully.
“I want life to be an endless adventure. I want to see all the ruins of history and just... try to work out how we ended up here. How did civilisation progress to.. this.” She sighs and picks up her drink.
Kate takes the opportunity to get to know some more dormmates, Erika and Aniyah, but she finds Dakota more interesting than them all and spends a few hours talking to her on the couch.
Dakota comes from a small town, and is studying History. She would rather live in ancient times than in the trash world we live in today.
Kate finds this fascinating.
