I’ve been a fan of Kat Eaton for a few years now and I can say that The Joker is one of the best songs she has released. The big cool energy saturated sound is a sure fire win.

So, I’ve been fan of Kat Eaton for a while and it’s great to see that the right people seem to be starting to take notice of this wicked talent. One day I will get to attend a show and it will be the funky-freshest day of this white boys life.

Her single ‘Giving it up’ is out soon and you should absolutely pre-order it. but for now listen to this on repeat, or indeed the whole session as it’s amazing.

EP release date confirmed! Snarky Puppy, new Tour Dates and Aliens!!

Great news!! My Live EP is due to be released on the 16th June!! That's no time at all, and I'm not usually one to blow my own trumpet but it sounds and looks awesome! So proud of this record and I think you are gonna like it ;) For those who were in the audience your whoops and claps are exceptional! The first live video will be released very very soon so make sure you subscribe to my youtube channel (link below) to be the first to watch it. From one live gig to another… Last tuesday I saw Snarky Puppy live at Scala. It was easily the best gig I have ever been to in my life! So inspiring to see 850 people the same age as me dancing to this awesome music. This jazz rave! They were singing along to these elaborate melody lines so fluently - it was amazing. Nick said to me 'these guys speak music better than I speak English'! At one point the piano player Bill Laurence played a classical jazz solo intro to one of his own songs and the room fell completely silent. Once he had finished someone in the audience broke the silence with a sincere and quiet 'thank-you'. It was surreal but brilliant, and it made me remember that live entertainment is an amazing thing indeed. I have been performing all over London since I moved here and I've loved it. Its always different every time. I have a few gigs coming up starting with tonight (11/5/14) at The Worlds End in Finsbury Park: a song-writers night hosted by Kal Lavelle. The Metropolitan (Notting Hill) Thusday 15th May. The Troubadour (Earls Court) Tuesday 20th May. Biddle Bros (Hakney) on Wednesday 21st May. Hope to see a few familiar faces at these gigs :) Last time I blogged I said I was going to tell you what my song 'Alien' was about, but I am going to let you guys tell me what you think instead! No point in writing anything that isn't open to interpretation, so please comment and let me know what you think - the more obscure the more I'll like it!
