Description:

Built for #KateEmeraldsTrickyShell Challenge. “A mini mansion built on all of the glorious garbage other sims have thrown away. This home has 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and is best suited for the slobbiest of slob sims. The footprint may be neutral, but the neighbors (and some residents) will still find this home uncomfortable to be around!”

Right. So some deets. This is my first time trying a shell challenge. I love watching Kate Emerald's speed builds and I am always so inspired by her very creative use of objects in the Sims 4. I missed on the opportunity to participate in her last shell challenge and I really wanted to give this one a whirl. Also, Kate frequently uses a mod called T.O.O.L. by TwistedMexi to make sims 4 object raise, lower, scale, and rotate in ways the game itself has no way of managing. This mod is nice because you can use it to be extra creative with your builds and the result is still a build that will be CC free when uploaded to the gallery. As long as bb.moveobjects is on when the build is placed, it should look the same when you download it as it did when I uploaded it!. The mod itself is simple, but the learning curve can be daunting when you have never used it before. This was my first build using it. I love it!

The house itself is furnished for a crafty sim and a sim kid. There is a fully leafed out garden, beetles, crickets, bees, generators, a dew collector, and a recycling machine. The build is also thoroughly disgusting and you play in it with a sim who is not a slob, they will be constantly uncomfortable inside and out from the filthy surroundings. The trash build has a trade off.

I have no idea if this has the right stuff to win the challenge. Browsing the gallery has shown me a great deal of truly spectacular builds in the shell challenge. All I know is it was super fun to have my way with really making a trashy mess of a sim house for once.

I Am IRONSIM

This is the luxurious home of Tech Simoleonaire, Philanthropist and infamous Playboy Tony Snark. Tony Snark is IRONSIM!  *cue head banging music*

I don’t normally do shell challenges, but when I saw the shell for  #KateEmeraldsTrickyShell  build challenge I simply couldn’t resist. It spoke to me.  I’ve been having a lot of fun playing with the robots in game recently, so the shell seemed great for a Tony Snark/IronSim  robot themed build. (click on images for hi-res version)

This NoCC Residential Build sits on the 30x30 lot in Newcrest.  I very strongly advice activating the “bb.moveobjects on” cheat prior to placing this build in your game.  I hope you have as much fun with Tony Snark aka IronSim and his home as I did creating them.
