I'm also Latina and I have been super impressed with Sarah's Spanish and her pronunciations. You can tell she's worked hard on them and actually cares to be authentic. idk what this anon is on.

I’m a native spanish speaker too and I think she’s doing so great (just like she did in The Tudors as Queen Mary) also she’s very talented and I’m just glad she finally got the main role in a popular tv show. Can’t understand the harassment she’s getting, like it’s okay if they don’t like a character but hating on an actor, it’s really mean and unrespectful.

I'm Latina and don't like SP/Kisa because she is an awful hypocrite who disgusts me. Just because I am Latina doesn't mean I'm going to ignore how disgusting a character makes me feel and just love her to pieces even though they tried to redeem her unredeemable ass.

I have a very weird relationship with that character.

It's really good and the supporting characters are great so far. i recommend

Did you hear it from other fans or the critics? If you heard it from the critics, then I promise you it’s not the case. As someone who saw SOA and was a fan, I can assure you Mayans is completely different, but it still has the essence of SOA. Also, the supporting characters/actors are stellar too. Richard Cabral (Coco), Clayton Cardenas (Angel), Danny Pino (Miguel), and Carla Baratta (Adelita) are the standouts for me. Check it out and see if you like it or not.

I don’t trust critics so I try not to read too much into what they say. Most of what I’ve heard has been stuff on SM. I’ve been following the show since it was announced forever ago and the trailer got me excited. I’m watching the new season of Ozark right now, but I’ll give Mayans a try when I’m done. That way I have a few episodes to binge.
