tricky   question.    you   see,    da.enerys   is   red.    her   temper   isn’t  a   very   easy   thing   to   deal   with,    and   the   girl   frequently   flirts   with   rage .  .  .    she   has   the   dragon’s   temper,    after   all.    but   she’s   also   pastel   pink :    innocent,     naive,    frequently   manipulated.

the   thing   is :    daeny   is   a   child.    i   know   i   say   this   a   lot,    but   i   won’t   quit   it   until   everyone   understands   it   ( and   stop   fetishizing   her) :    she’s   only   13   in   the   first   book,    living   under   the   solid   control   of   her   cruel,    harsh   brother.    she   had   no   childhood,   no   family,    no   home.   she   has   no   past   of   her   own,    no   memoirs   of   her   lineage.    everything   she   knows,   either   comes   from   her   brother   or   from   people   surrounding   her   life   as   she   grows   up   —   people   who   usually   are   biased;    since   they   all   want   something   from   the   last   dragon    ( gold,    power,    dragons   &,    even,    d.aenerys   herself ). 

a   clear   example   of   this   is   her   thoughts   on   her   brother,    rh.aegar :    she   knows   a   very   small   amount   of   facts    ( as   we,    as   expectators,    do   as   well )    regarding   r.haegar’s   life   and   yet,    on   the   first   books,    she   loves   him.    she   looks   up   to   him,    to   his   memory   -   somehow   -,    and   wishes   to   be   compared   to   him   instead   of   being   correlated   to   v.iserys   or   to   her   father.    but,    taking   into   consideration   my   canon   divergence,    after   talking   to   elia,    she   realizes   he’s   not   like   that.    he’s   not   perfect,    he’s   not   a   martyr,    he’s   not   a   hero.    you   see   how,    at   first,    she   was   so   easily   manipulated?

regardless   of   how   innocent   &   childish   she   can   be,    da.enerys   has   a   very   clear,    bright   vision   of   what   she   hates    ( and,   therefore,    how   this   process   happens   inside   her   head ) :    it’s   all   based   on   her   morals    ( which   can   be,    at   times,    considered   grey )    and   beliefs.    if   you   act   against   human   rights,    she’ll   hate   you.    if   you’re   cruel,    unkind,    rude    ( at   multiple   times   and/or   on   a   big   scale,    of   course ),    she’ll   hate   you.    if   you   doubt   her   capacity,    if   you   make   her   shed   a   tear,    she’ll   hate   you.    she   hates   everything   that   goes   against   her   nature,    her   will   &   urge   to   change.
