i had a caption planned about studying in your bed when it’s raining outside, but no, henry decided he needed to sleep on my book and he also needed to eat my highlighter, and he chose to do this right as i was getting ready to take a photo. got a lot done today, though.

today’s study session is brought to you by the starbucks pink drink and wildest dreams (taylor’s version). i spent all day in the library and maybe sitting in the same place the whole time was too much, because i really didn’t get as much done as i wanted. i’m trying not to be too frustrated with myself (emphasis on trying.)

hi y’all ! i’m new here and thought i’d introduce myself. my name is kathryn, my pronouns are she/they, and i’m 27.
i’m doing my graduate degree online from home - my degree is in library science; i’m working to become a school librarian. i love books more than anything, except maybe taylor swift, because i really love taylor swift.
focusing at home is really hard for me (especially with my bipolar, which makes studying hard some days) so i decided to make a studyblr to hold myself accountable and also make studying more fun :) tomorrow i’ll start posting photos 🥰

woops, haven’t posted in a few days. today i finished everything on my to-do list, which is SO satisfying. i’m going to celebrate with a cup of hot apple cider and a good book!
i have 6 discussion posts + 10 replies to classmates due this week and the fact that i am not allowed to type “LITERALLY!!! you get it, you Get It! your MIND, OP” on any of the replies is a travesty
i think the best advice i’ve been given regarding reading scientific papers is to not read the abstract until the end, because it’ll tell you what they want you to read from their work. start with the introduction, then the actual research, then write down what you think the conclusion to this data is. go back and read the rest of the article. then, once you’ve read everything else, go back and read the abstract, and decide if it was fair.

15. Do you have an favorite pieces of stationery, writing utensils, or other studying materials?
Yes! I’m totally in love with sticky notes. I have so many, a few normal coloured ones and then I have some that are so cute and pretty that I just can’t bring myself to use them :D
19. What are some of your favorite ways to take breaks?
When I take breaks from studying I usually make myself a cup of tea and then I sit Indian style on my bed, reading Fanfictions about my latest OTP. But I always have to be careful that I don’t start a story that has over 10,000 words…
21. Are your friends as studious as you are?
Yes definitely. I think it’s mostly because most of us are studying at least two languages and that just takes so much time and you really have to do something every day.
