In Episode 3 of Make/Work, host Scott Pinkmountain talks with artist/educator Katie Bachler. Bachler is based in Southern California and her work is centered on our connections to place and to each other. She recently created a Map of Home for the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, and is currently working on building the Women’s Center for Creative Work in Los Angeles.
“The art world needs to be questioned…We don’t need to get rid of [it], it has a robust history, the art historical narrative, it’s fine, but things need to be challenged. Alternate structures need to exist alongside it.”
