Kotaro Tsurugi (Justin Nozuka) and Katie Wheeler (Ellen Page) sharing a lovely moment reserved just for themselves. The pair are some of the main protagonists in my fighter pilot novel “Check-6: Young Lions.” Kotaro is a Navy pilot that flies the F-14 Tomcat jet while Katie is his backseat Radar Intercept Officer (RIO)/Navigator. They are members of the “Black Lions” fighter squadron (VF-213).
