What I thought Homestuck was about before looking into it!

Alright. So, when Homestuck first appeared I didn’t bother with it. I had no clue that this was a webcomic and not a show. I thought that this was a new show on adultswim or something. I would see fanart about it. Here is what I thought it was about:

That it took place on earth where in some small town a huge family of demons with grey skin and orange horns decided to move to. None of the locals acknowledged that this new family were demons or that they looked any differently than them. This demon family was going to try to take over the world through some overly complicated plan that they were too lazy to do and would just end up egging a neighbor’s house or try to eat a coworker’s dog (because some of the older demons had jobs, like office jobs or something).

I thought that JohnKat was canon and that Karkat was the youngest in the family and didn’t care about conquering the earth. Took too much effort and was too lame to do. He meets the human John and at first they don’t get along, but then they start a relationship, much to Karkat’s family and John’s friends dismay.

No really. I thought this was a show about a homosexual demon in a relationship with a human boy going through life having to deal with his family’s shenanigans and his boyfriend’s friends distrust of him.

What the hell was I thinking? Where did any of this information come from? I have no clue. Kinda wish it was true though. I’d have watched a show like that.

PS. John gets his powers through some demon shenanigan because of Karkat’s family. Which he is very sorry for, but John seems perfectly fine with being able to fly and control wind.
