Most Hits (18,553): Intimate Bystander. The reaction to this fic has always surprised me. I was so nervous about writing it from Gale's POV.

Second Most Kudos (535): Sneak Attack My in-canon between CF and MJ winter fic. It's another one that attracts attention every once in a while. Fluff and smut, my sweet spot. And hot chocolate.

Third Most Comments (101): Flying Solo, my first full length fic. Peeta and Katniss, a broken engagement and a beach vacation.

Ten Years of Fanfiction Mania

A few housekeeping notes.

2024 marks ten years since I started posting fanfiction and I've always wanted to mark an anniversary with something kinda fun. My original plan for this insane idea was to feature two of my completed fanfiction works per month and open my inbox to questions/discussions/headcanons, and yes prompts for outtakes and future takes, what have you for those particular stories. I have 12 completed multichapter fics that were not written as gifts for someone, and I fully intended to feature one of those per month plus a one shot or group of drabbles.

Obviously, I've fallen behind on that, mainly because I took on a little too much in the month of December (which is definitely one of my worst flaws so hahaha Hubris), but also because the response to the first featured fic, Wrapped in Red, was overwhelmingly larger than what I expected. Which... I absolutely love and cannot express how flattered I am that you all took such an interest.

So. I still have four prompts for Wrapped in Red in my inbox, and I fully intend to write them. So if you haven't seen yours yet, it's on my To Do list.

I wanted to wait until I'd written all of them before I feature another fic, but honestly... we could be waiting awhile for that. Instead, I'm going to go ahead and post what should have been the second December '23 featured fic, and in a few days, I'll post the first of the January ones and continue at an accelerated rate until I'm back on track. Since I don't anticipate nearly the same kind of response for most of my other stories, hopefully I'll still be able to catch up.

And up next on this week's Everlark fic classics! something modern, something funny, something naughty *wink*

It was such a life and death situation to choose among kdnfb's best works to feature in this tiny series of mine but alas, after one headache and a dosage of rereads, I finally decided to present Come on Baby Light my Fire. Oh just imagine choosing between maybe tomorrow, pure, wrapped in red, and this one??? the horrors. But not to worry, I shall succeed in presenting other kdnfb's works!

Anyways, I tried to match the moodboard as best as I can, so what more can be said? This fic is such a treat. It has biology teacher Katniss and firefighter Peeta. Actually in my part of the world, charity calendars are a foreign thing so that plot point alone was intriguing to me when I first read this masterpiece here in tumblr before it was published in ao3.

The chapter titles is also an interesting concept and adds some spice into what you'll encounter in each chapter. It recognizes the vulnerabilities of working in a dangerous field. And oh jesus, Katniss' panicky character here is always a good laugh. Along with my obsession for Pure, I always comeback reading my favorite parts and there's a lot. What's also amazing is how this fic was created solely with a bunch of different prompts. kdnfb just whipped it up with their creativity, as always!

when katniss asked gale to run away with her he got mad bc she wanted to also take haymitch and peeta along with his family, but when she asked peeta to run away with her he instantly agreed and went “gale is coming as well right okay perfect let’s go” do u see the difference?
