Some recent cosplays that I made. Ms. Bellum and Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls
Retsuko from Aggretsuko
I just noticed that I haven't been posting much content lately. I haven't been doing a lot of cosplay due to the pandemic, but I have been raiding my scrap bins to make clothes for my 2-year-old daughter! Here's a sampling of my creations.
Back from Animazement and you know what that means! Another photoset! I had extra stripey knit in my scrap bin, so I decided to make Sarah some comfy PJs. And what better way to indoctrinate my future nerd than by doing a photoshoot of my favorite movie!
Photo Credit goes to Frost Photography.
I’ll have better pictures when I can get them, but my daughter now has her first cosplay: Spike from My Little Pony! The little lady was so excited that she wouldn’t sit still for a picture, so Grandma assisted with keeping her still for some quick cell phone shots.
My other photoshoot from Animazement as Rose Quartz. My hoop skirt kinda hid my 8-month baby bump, but you could tell I was very pregnant. I love how these turned out! The best thing about this costume is that I got pregnant while make it and the dress still fit 8 months later! I must be psychic! Also, who said I should have a normal pregnancy shoot?
Finished Rose Quartz in time for Nekocon and got “Best of Saturday” in the Hall Costume Contest! I’ve never won at Nekocon before, so it was a great “last hurrah” before my belly starts showing. And I got a big cheer when I told the Masquerade audience that I’m pregnant.
I’ll have a write-up and more pictures when I get the pictures back from the Masquerade photo suite.
Ichibancon is my next one, but everything else is completely up in the air, depending on what the doctor tells me and finances.
My studio is sporting some new decorations. The top two are a Christmas present from my friend Marie: sheet music for "Ai no Senshi" and "Stronger than You" overlaying screenshots of their respective series. The bottom is a drawing from Thomas Boatwright that he drew for me because he liked my Harley Quinn costume.
