I love their takes on their characters. You can tell they all individually pour so much love and thought into their characters and they study them with care, think outside the box, and come up with such incredible and realistic new ideas to further flesh out their muse!

I love you, all of you. Your writing is so pretty, I love to read it! Whether it’s a reply for me, or just one I see on the dash I EAT IT ALL UP bc I love love love how you write. It flows really well, it’s easy to comprehend (for my dumb ass lmao), it’s not overly purple-prosy that you don’t understand a thing but it’s more than just ‘simple’- idk how to put it, it’s just perfectly balanced!! You paint pictures with your writing and I love it.

I mean- I can’t say much other than that I am super duper shy and incredibly overwhelmed by all the things I’d like to do and all the times I meant to send you stuff but chickened out or just didn’t have the right muse yet, or not properly set up, or just didn’t know what to write or send you... but I really really love you and admire you from afar and one day I will stop being so skittish.

That cursed, loathsome name managed to follow him down even to Abyss, the one place in all of Fódlan he thought would have been his last sanctuary at this point. Did the Archbishop not guarantee him safety? Didn’t she promise him anonymity?!

Goddess above, Forwin would have been content to put up with these horrid living conditions, to grin and bear it for however long he might remain down here, had only the name of Gerth not been spoken. Its offhand utterance alone would be enough to spiral him into paranoia, but dread’s ice-cold claws tearing at his heart told him he knew that voice from somewhere. He heard it before. Worse yet, he was actually recognized.

Turning to face the keen-eyed woman properly, eyes wide and voice hitched in his throat, that dread was quick to step aside so that proper fear may take the stage. For any other occasion, on any other day, he would be elated, but not here. Not like this.

“T-there’s no way... you’re not-?” He took a slowed step back, daring to not say her name in one last act of denial, but he knew it was a wasted effort. “Constance...? Y-you’re alive?”

It wasn't something he had considered before, but thinking about how much he enjoyed spending time with the older redhead -- in any capacity, he realized, not just in the part of his routine that revolved around sparring/training with Lukas -- slowly made his face heat and a small smile form. "Maybe you're right," he mused shyly, looking away and absentmindedly fiddling with his fingers, "I... I do care for him..."

If you’re not feeling something anymore - whether that’s a particular thread or a ship, it’s completely valid to drop it.

I know how it can feel like a blindside to your partners, especially if it isn’t really handled tactfully - and no, this post isn’t trying to say that you should just blindside them or be really tactless about breaking it to them.  But just not feeling it anymore? Not having any more muse or interest in the ship? That’s valid.

I think if there’s one thing I’ve realized from shipping and threads - it is very easy to talk and to gush about a hypothetical ship or a hypothetical AU.  Putting it into practice however, can feel quite different and that can be for a multitude of reasons.  Maybe it’s not turning how like how you thought it would, maybe your actual interactions don’t really end up following your outline at all, maybe your writing just doesn’t mesh with the other mun’s, it can be for a variety of reasons honestly.

Yeah, it does hurt feeling blindsided in these matters but I would honestly have someone tell me that they don’t have any motivation or muse for something, rather than continue to force themselves to do something - it’s not fun for them and not fair to their partners.  They deserve someone who has their heart in it.

It’s valid to feel the way you do, it’s valid to change your mind later down the line, it’s valid to feel like something isn’t what you thought it was gonna be or doesn’t feel the same anymore.  At the end of the day, do what’s best for your own happiness as a writer.
