... Yeah, so I made two more royal guard characters.
I was lamenting the lack of women in my royal guard, both past and present, so I adapted one character and invented a second. First: Leshana Hanari Faenorin (Revised) Second: Kavalia Caernyr (New) Relevant Heroforge models after each character blurb.
This got way longer than anticipated, so readmore'd.
First: Leshana Hanari, now Leshana Faenorin. Originally designed as an exclusive character for Rhoam and his guardsmen's Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom verse. When I considered that inventing two entirely new characters to add to the royal guard squad would be tedious, I thought of who could be retooled for it, and Leshana came to mind. So, she's now part of the royal guard squad in all verses. She is a daughter of the Faenorin noble family, the younger sister to Sheezrar and Enai. This makes her Lambda's aunt. To make sense of birth order, I aged her down to 46 years old. Looks old for a royal guard, but she is a Shiekah, so she ages somewhat slower than Hylians do. She's a holy woman devoted to Sirredes, whose holy work consists of traveling and slaying monsters to protect under-defended settlements and travelers. Her work and feats earned King Rhoam's attention, who dispatched a member of his guard with a letter requesting a meeting regarding her future. Leshana knew of Rhoam's efforts to bridge the gap between Hyrule and the Shiekah, and so agreed to this meeting, whereupon Rhoam offered her a commission as one of his guard. Initially, Leshana was disinclined, but Rhoam offered powerful points: First, that strength exists in numbers, and Leshana would encounter foes too powerful for her to defeat alone, but with others of the guard by her side, she could yet prevail. Second, he stated that as a Shiekah, the position among his guard offered great opportunity to protect her fellows, especially from those who continued to express their hatred for them by word or blade. Leshana took the post, under the provision that she could leave if she wished– she wasn't fully convinced until she witnessed Rhoam in a fit of grief as he lamented the loss of his beloved queen to himself. This scene sparked compassion in her and led her to recognize Rhoam as worthy of her service. Leshana's weapon of choice are two handed blades– an edge of duality in her time traveling and dispatching monsters, then a royal claymore once she signed onto the royal guard. She prefers the edge of duality, and has one mounted on the wall in her chamber in the royal guard barracks.

Second: Kavalia Caernyr. Kavalia is a fae dragon who was raised by her likewise fae dragon parents outside of civilized society, in a woodland realm (not sure if in Faron or Hyrule great forest). She's 132 years old, which is still a fairly young adult for a fae dragon– their lifespans are lengthy for dragons, which is not so intuitive when one considers their resemblance to moths and butterflies. After striking out on her own as an adolescent, Kavalia spent much of her time gathering knowledge and treasure– books and scrolls, especially related to arcana and ancient history. She has always had a great gift for magic, even for a fae dragon. Her mind comprehends logic incredibly well, which is suitable both for delving into the mechanics of arcana and, later on, law. In the most recent years of her life, she has become relatively content with her hoard, and so wishes for offspring to pass her knowledge to. Multiple offspring, in fact. Many offspring. Ah, but for that, she needs a mate. Multiple mates, in fact. Many mates. Her search for a mate went somewhat poorly for the first few years. Other dragons were not interested, or if they were, they changed their minds at the magically binding contract she presented to them. One day, Kavalia caught wind of a Gleeok in her territory. She made preparations to confront it and drive it away, and when she mustered her courage to do so, found a squad of Hylians already battling it. Of course, she offered her immediate aid, and the group succeeded not in driving it away, but slaying it outright. Kavalia found herself impressed, for any one of these Hylians could very well prove to be suitable mates. They introduced themselves as members of the Hyrulean royal guard, at which time Kavalia begged to accompany them home so as to offer her gratitude to the king they served. That was a bit of a ruse. She gained an audience with King Rhoam as planned, and after thanking him for aid rendered to her, she presented him with an arcane contract that bound her to his service– asking for a post in his guard. Rhoam was caught somewhat off guard. He had suspected this fae dragon had some manner of angle, but that she offered such a benefit to him was difficult to believe. He had this contract examined, both for content and magic. Though the wording was somewhat simple as far as legal documents went, the magic upon it was powerful– if signed, Kavalia could not betray him, neither by the letter nor spirit of his commands, and only Rhoam or his heirs could release her from service. He had to ask what would drive her to bind her to a lifetime of service to a Hylian bloodline. Kavalia explained her desire for offspring, and stated that perhaps it was high time she considered the benefits of actively participating in humanoid society, rather than only rarely appearing in the name of hoard acquisitions. This was an incredible opportunity; to ignore it would be a waste. Rhoam agreed to her terms, and both of them signed this contract with their own respective bloods to seal this pact. Kavalia fights as a pure caster, similar to Gateni. She carries a very simple staff decorated with her own shed scales as a focus for her magic, but it is often a prop; she is capable of casting the same potent magic without it, to a limited degree. (Like, sorcerer subtle spells, which eat sorcery points– she has a limited ability to force magic from herself without this focus.) She is also known to occasionally take her true fae dragon form for away missions, but as fae dragons (including her) are the smallest of dragons, she does not fight in close quarters in either form. That said, her breath weapon is dangerous– while it somewhat lacks in raw force, it can confer debilitating effects that are devastating in combat.
