The Cora Cressey shipwreck in Muscongus Bay was a 5 masted 273ft wooden hulled schooner first sailed in 1903 out of Boston Harbor. It was used to run coastal trade routes up and down the east coast until the 30’s. Later, during the prohibition error, it was turned into a floating nightclub. Then in the 80’s it was towed to the Keene Lower Narrows in Bremen, Maine and used as a lobster pound and breakwater. The hull is one of the largest surviving wooden hulls in the United States and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Come see for yourself on a @mainekayak trip before it’s totally taken away by the Atlantic! . . #mainekayak #muscongusbay #kayaktrips #coracresseyshipwreck #shipwrecks #bremenmaine #maine (at Cora F.
