Fifteenth Sun of the Fifth Astral Moon
Book, I have learned truths, ones I wish I could unlearn.
I have seen into the darkness, seen its very heart, seen in to the maw of the abyss with its rows of fangs as it opened to me. It was like walking into a long forgotten family den, I was home. Though book, it was not simple nothing is simple. The Abyss, the darkness in me and source of my aetherial abilities, is a monster chained. If given its own will, it would devour suns, leaving nothing but emptiness. I am glad it is chained, but I see the one holding the chains. To look at him makes my soul hurt, makes what light I have left with in me recoil and wither.
When I returned home my soul heavy on what my new brother Kayis had shown me. He is bound to the Beast of the Abyss, chains hold to his soul. Though the beast is not hard for him to please, all the beast wants is souls, all of them. Kayis my brother in chains.. When I arrived home I was able to spend time with My moon, I can not bring myself to talk about my vision. Faysal did have what he did find on Ascians and.. I know more about them, and about the Void. It is very possible whomever my mother bargained with was trying to give her the same power Kayis has. I am an unchained child of the abyss, no… I am a child of light, and abyss. Not by design though.. Book I believe in mother moon, I am sure she did not wish for a child of the abyss born. This is why my brother died, why I am not pure. The souls I take are mine, I am now very sure I do take souls. That my want for Ascian souls is the Beast’s defiance… Book I do not wish to know this truths, I wish to forget. I know now the source of the abyss, the source of my darkness’ hunger. I do not like the idea of destiny.. that I am born to someday be bound in chains to the Beast.
