In terms of places they could realistically visit, the Paramour mansion! I set my fic Daisy there because I think it’s incredibly cool: this beautiful old Hollywood estate that was built by an oil heiress and her actor/trophy husband, only for her to die under mysterious circumstances. There have been stories of spooky stuff on and around the estate’s grounds ever since her death in 1933, but what I think is really fascinating is that in the 90s it was renovated and part of it became a recording studio. A lot of the musicians who’ve worked from there have had experiences and even credited Daisy with creative input on their work! Probably the wildest, most well-known of these is My Chemical Romance’s The Black Parade album, which they wrote and recorded while staying at the Paramour. The band claim that alongside experiencing various phenomena, the mansion influenced their dispositions much the same way the husband at the Sallie House was influenced: they became angry, violent and dangerously depressive. Mikey Way, their bassist, stayed in the Blue Room and had so many harrowing encounters that he almost ended up leaving the band over it, which was the inspiration for Famous Last Words.
6. Would you rather stay the night in a haunted house with Ryan or provoke a demon with Shane?
Okay so I’m a boogara to the bone but I would absolutely provoke a demon with Shane. I’m kind of this weird mix of Ryan and Shane where I definitely do believe in what they’re investigating but I think the way Shane taunts powers beyond his control is hilarious anyway. We’re all here for a good time, not a long time :P
9. What’s your dream crossover for Unsolved (could be youtube, show, movie, etc.)?
I saw a post a while ago that laid out this concept where two Try Guys go and do Worth It, two of them do Unsolved, and then the Worth It boys and the Unsolved guys team up to do a Try. I think that would be hysterical, especially if they could get the Try Guys to rotate around so that they each got to try hunting ghosts and/or solving mysteries!
