Bedtime Headcanons 💤

Occasionally, not often at all, Ajisai’s dreams take him back to when he was 10, still a nameless Tumet youth. He dreams of being tied to that tree, his young and underdeveloped body straining against taught, course ropes. He recalls his useless bays for help, his throat barely carrying his voice to a rasp, his words only coming as desperate clucks.

Sometimes, he’s there, but he’s not a child. He’s older, stronger, wiser, but no less hopeless, no less desperate...

There isn’t much that can break off Ajisai’s overall aloofness, but this is the thing that has him waking up in cold sweats. Re-experiencing such a painful event from his past, the fact that it still haunts him as an adult, the fear that he might never truly be free of it… It’s something he’s continually trying to make peace within himself, and really, the only true gap in his emotional armor.

It depends on the situation. When he’s walking about, he’ll just sleep in his day clothes after making camp. At home, he has a nighttime robe for casual/sleepwear, and when he’s staying over someplace, he’s usually left his clothes on the floor by the time he makes it to the bed...
