send me a ship and an au and i’ll write a synopsis of a fic i most certainly will never actually get around to writing

i had a major galaxy brain take on this, hear me out okay

fantasy dnd campaign *everyone groans* WAIT LISTEN so kazuma is a tiefling elf who experiments with dangerous magics that he hopes will turn him into a full-fledged dragon shapeshifter through a process known as “dragshifting” - something that will let him change forms at will

chrono, a steampunk-esque druid who can manipulate time, but badly, knows that kazuma is going to open himself up to dark powers and be corrupted by gyze so he goes back in time to kill kazuma after kazuma has nearly perfected dragshifting (which is a major scientific breakthrough that has to happen for the timeline not to be fucked up so he can’t just like, kill baby kazuma) but right before gyze happens except he overshoots the time on that one and ends up meeting him a year before the gyze thing but too far back for the dragshifting breakthrough so he tries to convince kazuma instead not to dabble too deeply into the dark magic and they end up going on a wacky romantic adventure alongside Lawful Neutral human paladin taiyou asukawa to stop gyze’s apostles, led by fairly inept evil sorcerer gastille, bug queen with a vore fetish gredora, tiefling who just wants all humans to die dumjid, marine general with a hate hard-on for a cute paladin in united sanctuary valeos, and gredora’s obsessive bug son darkface. along the way they encounter kazuma’s hot tiefling rogue brother kazumi and his dragon boyfriend shiranui, who tries to kill them at first but they get over that and become allies i guess

in the end chrono can’t stop gyze from taking over and killing lots of people and causing lots of destruction but thanks to True Love and Brotherly Love, they are able to stop gyze and save kazuma, who has perfected dragstriding but isn’t evil anymore! the end!
