Kazuo graduated top of class from Harvard in 1985. Moving back to Japan as a young adult, he orchestrated the backend operations of Hayashi International (which definitely had nothing to do with Yakuza), and was responsible for increasing the family net worth from $10bn to $16bn before the turn of the century. 

Kazuo is highly proficient at archery and shooting, which he competed in when he was at Harvard. 

As CEO of Hayashi International, Kazuo spends most of his time flying overseas (in his private jet, of course) to meet with other real estate moguls and shareholders. Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai—wherever the financial elite gather, he will be striking deals right in the center. 

Surprisingly, Kazuo is capable of smooth-talking and charm, which is why he now operates as the face of the conglomerate while his wife, Svetlana, takes care of things the Hayashi family want to keep silent. 

Kazuo always wanted a son—just not the one he received.
