“Darling if you keep pacing you’re going to make me sick,” Lizzie calls from her spot in the lounge not once looking up from her book.
“Well what do you expect me to do? Wait for it to just hit you, I refuse to just be a sitting duck. For heavens sake thats what we've been doing for ten months.” William stops in the middle of the entryway framing to stare at his wife, “And how are you so calm?”
“Because I know that when the time is right you will end up being more calm than I,"
Striding into the lounge William takes a seat next to Lizzie.
"And how might I ask do you know that?
"Because Jane and Charles have been through this twice and you were more calm about it then the three of us." Closing her book Lizzie sets it in her lap.
"I have faith in you Darcy, you should too....beside you can't doubt yourself right now about being calm because between me, you, Jane, Charles, and Lydia this child is going to need someone who's levelheaded."
Lizzie looked at Darcy cupping his face with her left hand.
"Elizabeth have I ever told you that you might have a little to much faith in me?"
She nodded chuckling.
"Darling, you need to start seeing yourself as the person you are because you right now are amazing. Not only as a husband but already as a father."
Smiling at Lizzie, Darcy kisses her forehead as he places a hand over lizzie's bump.
"Love?" Darcy moved to rest his head on top of Elizabeth's, as she wrapped an arm around his waist.
"Hmm?"
"Thank you fo-"
"You're welcome Darling." William could feel Lizzie's smirk as they sat there in each other's arms,
"You don't even know what I was going to say."
"Because I don't need to know." Chuckling to himself, Darcy started to hum a tune known all to well by the both of them as they sat with eachother awaiting their next adventure.
