"MONGO66" departing March AFB - January 1986
A KC-135 tanker refueling a Boeing B-47 Stratojet.
Adding Palletized Cargo to the KC-135 was the best and absolute worst idea AMC came up with not long after it was created. The KC-135 really needed a better way to manage cargo instead of floor loading, no doubt.
Utilizing KC-135 airframe hours to run channel missions and attempt to replace the C-141B was not only a total joke, but it was also a complete waste of precious hours left on KC-135 airframes.

This is the 'Weightless Wonder' or otherwise infamously known as the Vomit Comet. 'Zero-Gravity' is produced within the KC-135a airplane by flying along an inverted parabolic arc. During moments of 'weightlessness,' people can be tossed about the plane with little or no effort. It's used for astronaut training.
