in the game, mutt and pebbles are always nearby when henry wakes up after sleepwalking. therefore, this is the sight he sees when he wakes up in some random shrub.

i love to imagine them following him loyally during the night as he stumbles along mindlessly, like okay time for one of dad’s nighttime strolls again i guess

Hardcore Mode Update Day 1 / All negative perks active

- got through the prologue and divorce phase okay

- bearded Hans and Henry still majestic

- we're back with evil boy

- tried to rob Radovan four Times. Failed three. Ran for life

- managed to equip myself

- got a fuckboy haircut

- stole a horse from Jakesh. Horse is ass. Gonna steal a different one.

- wanted to ride to the nomad camp. Ended up at nebakov mill

- made some coin from bandits, classic

- broke my back at least 15 times while picking herbs

- acquired mutt alright. Tracked down pavlena with him.

- killed jakesh, got branded again. On purpose this time. (Istg I was carrying dead jakesh through town to alert the guards)

- managed bird of prey quest alright. Even tho vostatek puked on me. Thanks for that btw buddy. The anthill next time.

- learning to navigate by landmarks, we'll see how often I get lost.

I love this game.

Really glad I have the sleepwalking perk enabled, I'm essentially just using it as my fast travel (since that's disabled in hardcore mode). Only instead of looking at my quests and choosing which one I'm going to, I just go to sleep and check which quest I wake up closest to

So I may have started a hardcore save on KCD2 last night, (almost directly after finishing it the first time, I'm very normal.) to see what the debuffs are and like none of them are fun?

I chose picky eater, punchable face, and menace cause they seemed like the least obnoxious ones but it's kinda a shame that you can't have the hardcore mechanics without the debuffs. I get that it's supposed to be difficult, but most of them would just make things tedious

Hardcore Mode Update Day 3 / All Negative Perks active

Another slow day, was busy and didn't have much time to play.

Did the Hermit quest. All went somewhat smoothly until Konrad decided he hated my ass and started attacking me. Too bad buddy, you're encountering evil Henry. Rest in pieces.

Went to do the quest where you hunt for the blacksmith's cart. Followed Gnarly's advice and went to sleep in the barn IN SEMINE. Woke up the next morning, 6 am, in the middle of fucking Apollonia. Jumped on my horse and raced back to Semine so I wouldn't miss the quest, rip.

Didn't get lost today!

Hardcore Mode Update Day 7 (Re-Run) / All Negative Perks active

We're stable so far, no crashes. Managed to knock out most sidequests today and I am almost caught up again.

Got caught off guard while plucking flowers, bad back perk triggered, bandit attack = Suffering

Unrelated to hardcore, but I knocked myself off my horse like five times today. Maybe my Henry needs glasses.

Managed to do the Nomad's quest in the worst way possible, but at least they didn't run off cliffs again and killed themselves. Though they maybe should have, considering the chaos I caused.

Wanted to give Henry a shave, went to bed. Woke up across the map. I guess, he didn't like that idea.

Wedding next, almost caught up again. Let's hope this save file holds.

Hardcore Mode Update Day 6 / All Negative Perks active

Another day of nothing happening except Main story. Playing as Godwin in hardcore mode is rough though. Not a fan.

Hope I have more time soon. Next time: Nebakov siege and Trosky murder spree. And flying Toth's.

Hardcore Mode Update Day 4 / All Negative Perks active

For some reason the Nomads were either absolutely insane or bugged. I approached the camp, never been there. Suddenly everyone is screaming 'Murderer!' and runs for the hills. The Voivode ran off a cliff and died. Guess Henry is that terrifying.

This led to me not being able to finish the Miller quest because Ennelyn just ran away from me.

Because of this I couldn't do the Invaders! sidequest because they all attacked me.

Almost got hanged twice.

Lost in the woods..AGAIN.

Finished Gules questline without much incident. Thank fuck..

Went through the wedding without trouble.

Wild day... It's 2am. Bedtime. Tomorrow? Nebakov.
