Can I just say, they're trying so hard they're really trying at Doctor Who

But goddamn it am I just consistently weirded out by how media tries to scour the memory of body hair from the global psyche of humanity - just straight up

This completely natural phenomenon, this secondary sexual characteristic that literally every single person (almost) grows as a part of their natural development

It's presented as simply absent from the world. Recent case in point: woman is implied to be heartbroken and not taking care of herself at all, not eating, just in bed all of the time for days: perfectly shaven armpit hair (crazy rich Asians). Case in point: woman gains a whole new body through the process of regeneration: no leg hair.

I UNDERSTAND that is our standard, so much so that I would be legitimately Shocked by any other aesthetic choice - but damn! Isn't that crazy?? Isn't that weird as fuck??

Is it any wonder that my young teenage self was extremely embarrassed of and desperately upset at my own body hair?
