Kat's ESC Discourse S6 E13: SCREAM 19 -- Eldrine, One More Day (Georgia) The only time rapping has ever been good in Eurovision, this entry, right here. This is EPIC, and a classic example of Georgia Not Giving Any Fucks. Not really my kind of music but this is too epic for me to not have it in my qualifiers. 18 -- Magdalena Tul, Jestem (Poland) ROBBED QUEEN IM CRYING MAGDALENA WAS ROBBED DESERVED BETTER. Literally when I watched this semi for the first time i was so impressed by this??? and then it placed last in its semi??? like what the fuck??? is europe okay??? oh my god

Kat's ESC Discourse S5 E13: Past And Future 18 -- Greta and Jónsi, Never Forget (Iceland) this was honestly such a letdown??? like the studio version of this was FIRE and then the live didn't deliver. I felt robbed. Greta's vocal wasn't great, the way they used the backing singers was weird, and idk. It wasn't as good as it could have been. 17 -- Jedward, Waterline (Ireland) This is such a fun dancy song, it's just that other songs were better. I love the fountain thing they do - if i'm ever in eurovision i want a fountain. Can you imagine how cool that would be????

Kat's ESC Discourse S4 E13: Islands With Yellow Backdrops I should be writing a journal right now but oh well. 15 -- Gianluca Bezzina, Tomorrow (Malta) This song is so cute. Definitely not of winning caliber but it's a very sweet narrative song and Gianluca is so cute. Like with his stage presence and everything is just so adorable and the way it was staged was absolutely precious. Honestly the song probably got as far as it did on cuteness. 14 -- Koza Mostra, Alcohok Is Free (Greece) Sorry Julia but i had to put the typo in...anyways so my favorite ESC trope is when they start out and you think it's gonna be another boring ethnic song but then they pull out the tempo changes and electric guitars. I would have liked to see more of the Koza Mostra frontman and less of the old guy but oh well.

Kat’s ESC Discourse S2 E14: Duet

14. Uzari and Maimuna, Time (Belarus) Ahem. Why didn’t this qualify. Absolutely rude. It’s such a, to use Jana words, bop. Some of the camera cuts on Maimuna were a little weird I’ll admit but that was really the only thing wrong with it, it’s such a jam and I will be bitter over this for a long time.

13. Stig Rästa and Elina Born, Goodbye To Yesterday (Estonia) It’s a good song, the first time I heard it it made me cry, no kidding. The staging was incredible, with the doors and all, and Elina looked so classy omg. One of my favorite things was the camera angles - they never panned out to the crowd, you felt like you were experiencing the drama in the room with them. I do feel like Elina kind of outdid Stig vocally though.
