misunderstood villains
Want tod sleep but must post shit first.
himiko being the only child in the league (and later the only girl) is so important to me. she called magne big sis. tomura promised not to destroy the things she liked and gave her money to buy herself a new coat. twice forced himself to overcome his trauma to save her and the last thing he did before dying was protect her. compress always took into account her feelings and checked in on her. spinner told her to stay safe and come back to them. dabi comforted her and brought her back home. she was their little sister :(
thinking about toga's relationship with the LoV. like. these adult men who kill people took better care of toga than her own parents. that 17 yo girl was safer with them, the "villains", than with her OWN PARENTS.
as soon as they got money they got her a cute coat that she liked for winter. they kept her fed and safe. they made sure she had fun and could be herself and they trusted her with tasks and told her to live the way she wants while also telling her to come back to them, making sure she felt both free and wanted.
Toga is the only kid in the LoV. and when they lost magne she became the only girl. and they always made her feel safe and nurtured and included. RAAAAAH
part of it I think is the guys being keenly aware of how young she is. they all went through something terrible when they were kids, or in their past. but for toga it's right now. she is that kid. and they won't let her be abandoned and neglected like they were
NO ONE TOUCH ME THEY ARE HER FAMILY THEY TOOK HER IN I'M UNWELL ABOUT THEM
It's still insane to me that there was an anti-heteromorph KKK group running around killing mutant types, and the only people who actually did anything about it were the League of Villians. At no point in the story do we ever hear about a single Pro-Hero, even a heteromorph one, talk about the CRC and the danger they pose. Not even a passing acknowledgment of the League killing them. The League is directly responsible for taking out an in-universe supremacy group, and no one takes even a single second to go "huh, maybe they're not completely irredeemable monsters."
we'll meet again
don't know where, dont know when
but I know we'll meet again
some sunny day
