Just saying...

When someone who always planned on having kids, and very much looked forward to it, finds out that they can't reproduce. Don't:

1) Say "God works in mysterious ways." (Yea, it's mysterious as to why I'd have a uterus and painful monthly happenings for no purpose but to be inconvenient!)

2) Say: "It'll happen when you stop trying!" (Yes the doctors are all wrong, all I have to do is not try...)

3)Give me a big ass smile because you don't plan on having children, and now you won't be inconvenienced by mine. (Seriously one "friend" was happy because it worked better for them! WTF?!)

4)Begin linking me to every adopt website ever. (Don't you think we've done our own research?! And it isn't free, it's rather expensive, so unless you plan on donating the $25,000-$50,000 it costs, then knock it off)

5)Begin telling me that you can relate because you had to try for an entire year before you got pregnant. (So it took you a bit of trying. It's NOT the same. You have your kids.)

6)Become really really weird around me. (If you have kids I'm happy for you, go ahead talk about them. Don't change the channel when a baby pops onto the screen. Don't stop talking to me because I will never be a fellow "mom friend".  Don't assume I now hate all children.)

Just don't be weird about it. Treat me like you've always treated me. And just be happy, I'll now have more money to buy gifts for your kids for birthdays and christmas. Lucky them.
