Grad School...
Hi! So as you might know (from the description of this blog) I am applying to graduate school. There's a few things needed in order to complete the application process. Actually, there's a lot. So here they are:
Registering for the GRE
Paying for the GRE
Taking the GRE
Saying goodbye to four and a half hours of your life that could have been spent on Facebook, Tumblr, Netflix, or otherwise lollygagging, because of the GRE
Trying not to panic before/during/after the GRE
Online Application
Realizing that there are a lot of things to fill out, but it's okay because you know the answers to the questions, so it should be fine
Paying for the online application
These greedy folks always want money, what the heck!
Cover Letter
Not panicking while writing the Cover Letter
What the heck is a Cover Letter?
Personal Statement
Figuring out why you're awesome and should attend their program, without specifically alluding to your self-proclaimed awesomeness
Three Letters of Rec
Finding three professors that will write you a letter of rec
Trying to remain calm when realizing that only two professors have written you a letter of rec and need one more before the deadline, which is in two days
Resume/Vita
Realizing that you've done virtually nothing substantial and feeling like some kind of weird thing and begin to question your life and the choices you've made with it
Official Transcripts from all academic institutions attended
Trying to remember all the places that you've gone to school and getting all that stuff together
Writing Sample (optional)
Searching/scavenging for your either your greatest paper, or the paper with the highest grade; technically it should be the same paper, but that might not always be the case
