Wally walks through the tunnels, glowing runes engraved on metal bands around his wrists and neck pulsing with blood-red light as he checks on one of the traps. This is all he does, really. Check on traps, feed the beasts, clean up after Home, day in and day out. He sighs, shaking his head at his own past self’s foolishness. Death would be preferable to the life Home’s forced him into.
