Save today, enjoy tomorrow; waste today, cry tomorrow. Save Today. Preserve Tomorrow. Saving energy today for a brighter tomorrow. #sponsored . . . Call me a tree hugger all you want, but I firmly believe in taking care of the gift we have-this world. It is our responsibility to be wise stewards of the resources we have been blessed with and to ensure that not only can we have a clean healthy world to live in now; but that we preserve it for future generations. It is such a detriment when we have resources and animals becoming extinct because of how we choose to manage the resources that we have been given. So with that said, I have partnered with @EnergyUprgrade_Ca to do my small part to help make the world we live in today better for us and future generations. With holidays passing and some winter time trips still mounting here are three small tips that, believe it or not, can add up to make a huge difference. . . 1. When you're not at home ( on vacation or at work) things such as computers, televisions, toasters, microwaves etcetera all draw power whether they are off or not, using things like a power strip will help mitigate the draw of power utilizing less energy. 2. Find the drafts in your house. If your doors or windows are allowing the warm air to seep out, seal them up. Insulating your house fully will keep the inside temps better regulated thus ultimately using less energy. 3. Get a smart thermostat. We recently installed a smart thermostat in our home. We can turn it off when not home from our phone app, and upon arrival turn it back on. What we have found is because it has learned some of our habits we have been able to use less heat and A/C. Give some of these tips a try and tell me if you have noticed any difference in your energy use.
