Time is more valuable then we even know! It's the most important thing we take for granted. Be careful how u use it, cause time runs out. I want to spend the rest of my days fulfilling my purpose and living my dreams! I want to feel that fire I once had, that some how I lost track of. I still have it in me, I just have to light the match and keep it alive until there's nothing left to 🔥 #keepthefirealive #keepitburning #lightitup #lightthefirewithin 💗
I'm finally back into the swing of things after my trip to visit my sister in Pennsylvania. I had a wonderful time visiting my family, throwing my sister her baby shower and visiting Baltimore. And I did it all in only 3 days!
We visited Inner Harbor in Baltimore Sunday. The harbor is filled with things to do including shopping, museums and an amazing national aquarium!
While I had a great time, I was missing my other half. Brett and I stayed in contact through texting and Facetime while I was away.
Even though it was only 3 days, I realized how hard it must be to be away from your significant other for long periods of time. I didn't want to miss out on anything during my trip, so I sent Brett a few texts during the day and caught up with him over Facetime at night.
"It's hard since I'm going to school, and he works 6 days a week, and forgetting to make time to talk to each other is easy to do," Katie said.
In order to keep the bond that ties them together, Katie and Nick have a routine of sending text messages throughout the day and Facetiming almost every day. They also made a rule to see each other 2 weekends out of every month to spend quality time together.
Keeping in touch is important, but having a solid foundation is essential, Katie said.
"You have to be able to trust, communicate, have patience, forgive and have the want to make it work because it is hard work and can get frustrating," she said.
Once Katie graduates from UNK in May, the couple will be united after 9 months apart. Being optimistic has helped them tremendously in their time away from each other.
