I'm not sure if anyone will see this, but… Hi tumblr community! My name is Mallaury, and I'm a black, multiracial, trans, nonbinary, disabled, queer person in need of mutual aid support. I'm not the best at advocating for myself, but this is something that I'm working on. One of my white friends offered to make a flyer for me and spread the word about mutual aid that I desperately need on their socials, since I'm only on Discord. The algorithm may be working against me since I’ve had a handful of donations and was hoping for more since a lot of white folks like to claim that they want to uplift folks like me, especially in times of need. Still, in my experience, other folks of color show up and give even a little money to support each other. I've fallen on some tough times since moving to the PNW. To make a long story short, since moving out this way in October 2022, I've had my U-Haul with all my belongings stolen, including my car that was in tow, my wife left me, lost my job, bills keep piling up, along with the stress and mental health challenges being exacerbated with all of this. I've had to start my life over from scratch. I can't make this up, y'all, that my life is like a Netflix series 😅💩It inspired me to start writing my memoir, which has been healing. I'm trying to get on disability to focus on getting well, but was deemed not disabled enough and am in the appeals process. I have to keep a roof over mine and my fur babies' heads, pay the bills, and get my pup his life-saving meds. I have been looking for work since October of last year. Unemployment benefits have been exhausted, so I'm delivering part-time as an Uber Eats, GoPuff delivery driver, and all the other gig apps I can sign up for to make ends meet. Please support anyway you can 🙏🏽 I'll also appreciate any referrals for assistance, jobs, or anything else you think is helpful.
