Coffee || Keeva & Brett
This felt weird. Brett turned the keys and listened as the engine purred to a stop. He let out a breath, and smoothed his hand over his hair. Arching his neck up and shifting in his seat, he checked his teeth in the review mirror, making sure he didn't have any stray flecks of food in there. He settled back down in his seat and stared blanking in front of him. He was actually going on a date. At least, that's how he saw it. He had asked Keeva to coffee in a manner that didn't seem to imply this was just friendly. She was certainly a very pretty and very nice girl, but that wasn't the only reason Brett was interested in her. She had talent. She had incredible talent. Talent that was being wasted. He had seen so many Warrior Tour winners over the past years fail to ever put out an album. He didn't want that to happen to Keeva - she had star quality. Brett knew that the first time he had heard her sing. She had always had a band and a manger and seemed content with that. But now, as the time after her win increased and no music was released he felt he had an opening. Maybe, just maybe, by getting closer to her she'd listen to what he had to say - and maybe she'd make him her manager. She had talent, and Brett saw a way he could use that talent to benefit himself. So now, here he was, on an actually date. Brett hadn't been on a date in a while. The girls he looked to hook up with weren't the kind of girls who cared to go on a date. Besides, with the tour schedule and managing Untamed, Brett's free time was precious. He didn't want to spend that time with something that wouldn't be worth it. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and texted Keeva. "Here :)" the message read. After hitting send, he stepped out of his car and made his way to the front of the coffee shop, and waited for her response.
